Type of project: Residential refurb
Set within a private residence in Belvedere Gardens, London, overlooking the iconic London Eye, this project called for Green Envee's most bespoke offering: a fully custom artificial olive tree, built entirely on site, alongside matching planters designed to blend seamlessly into the property's existing interior scheme.
High spec residence
The client wanted a striking, natural-looking olive tree that would feel entirely at home within a high-specification residence with a landmark backdrop. Rather than a standard off-the-shelf piece, they requested a tree built and shaped to their own precise specification — from canopy form to bark texture — alongside planters finished to match the property's existing framing work, ensuring every element of the space felt considered and cohesive.
ChallengeBespoke shaping
A standard artificial tree wouldn't do — the canopy needed to be hand-shaped on site to the client's exact vision, requiring skilled, precise on-site construction rather than a pre-built piece.
Material authenticity: Achieving a genuinely natural bark texture and UV-stable finish that would hold up visually over time, without compromising on realism.
Colour matching to existing finishes: The planters needed to be finished in a bespoke colour to match the property's framing work — a detail that required close coordination between the installation team and the property's existing design scheme.
A setting that demands precision: With a backdrop as recognisable as the London Eye, there was little room for anything that looked anything less than considered and intentional.
SolutionTailored to the smallest detail
Green Envee's team built the olive tree entirely on site, hand-shaping the canopy to the client's specification and using natural bark detailing for an authentic, lifelike finish. UV-stable planting was used throughout to ensure the tree retains its appearance long-term, regardless of light exposure. The two accompanying planters were custom-finished in a bespoke colour, precisely matched to the property's existing framing work, tying the entire installation into the property's design language.
The result is an installation that feels entirely native to its setting — bespoke in scale, finish, and form, and tailored down to the smallest detail. Get in touch to see how we can help you with your next bespoke project.
